I have a 9 week old pug and want to know if this method of potty training will work.

Since I have to work a 40 hour week I plan on putting him in my bathroom (which is fairly large) with a crate for him to get in and using the Pee Pee Pads while I am at work.

When I am at home I plan on teaching him how to go to the backdoor when he needs to go out. And to put a peepee pad down by the door, just in case he gets to the backdoor before I do he might go on the pad.

Any thoughts on if this is a good idea or not? This is my first time potty training a dog by myself and want myself and the new puppy to be successful.

K, so im in dog training, im only 11. and theres this dog named daisy there, shes a black lab, and really sweet and soft. but the owners who train her let her do wutever she wants it seems like. cause like when we take a break all the dogs get 2 play, get water, do wutever. but whenever daisy plays with my dog, she carges for him. and they’re bot just puppys. and the owners let her charge, i dont want 2 tell them wut they should do and shouldnt do. but whenever daisy plays with any dog she makes them squel, and the owners dont even care.

I just got my 9 week old cocker spaniel puppy and he’s been peeing everywhere. I was ready for all of that but I just need help in how to housebreak him. If he peed somewhere, I would soak it up with the pee pad and then drag him over to the pad and make him smell it. And yell out NO and PEE HERE.

I’m planning to start taking him outside and pee once he gets all his shots.

So am I doing this right?

what’s the average cost of having a dog trained for things like potty training and barking(i live in an apartment). how much am i looking at spending up front not counting the cost of the dog.

My dog ( she ) never had puppies. She’s 8 years old. She was in heat in summer and now is acting like she’s pregnant which drives me nuts because she’s really acting out!! It happened before since she was never pregnant. How do you call this??

whenever i shoot clays or go hunting i like to bring my dog that im in the prosses of training but i relize that he is afraid of my gun and the sound what can i do to make him not as scared

In about a year my family will be moving closer to the in-laws in Mississippi. My MIL breeds Australian Shepherd’s and has asked me if I wanted to start dog training with her, focusing on agility.

We are both new to agility training and I wanted to know what are some tools that you suggest and cannot live without?

*We will be building our course at home with the obstacles being the same as a standard course.

I have been wanting to train dogs for a few years now, just havent had the time to do the schooling..with my full time job. But I am willing to do it online, if possible. Anyone know of any credible online dog-training schools? I’m OK with spending some money…if it is worth it…

I guess training a dog to be house-trained is alright (I’m not cleaning that up), but when do you draw the line with training dogs tricks?

im getting a puupy and i need some help on things- everything a owneer of a new pup would ask. how can i prevent him from chewing on my furniture, house train him quickly, ,He’s already going into an obdience class! but i need to prevent my dad from screaming his head off on everthing puppy does. Also feedback on the "bitter apple stuff" , does it realy work? And do not sugest a puppy pad, those things are just awfull!…..some good cheeap food for him!? like i said…this dog is going to be very important to me, so please help.

Some puppies are really submissive with my dog, he’s around 11 months. They like to roll over on their backs and my dog likes to put his mouth on their heads or sometimes put his mouth on their ears. Is this him being aggressive? I try to stop it before it happens. If it is aggressive behavior.. is there any tips I can have about stopping the behavior?

What would you say would be an average cost for obidience training for a puppy?

I have a 5 month old lab/shar pei mix and I am starting to have problems with potty training. When he needs to go outside to potty, he sits at the door and we have been really responsive to it. Just recently, he has started wanting to go out really frequently to play, sniff, and snoop rather than potty. My husband and I started to ignore the dog if he was wanting out and just came in or went out recently. Last week, the dog squatted and peed in the house twice within the same day (first time in 2+ months). He was corrected and we went back to letting him out every time he wants out. He is continually sitting at the door and it is getting very annoying and I am not for sure what to do.

We live in an apartment complex so we can’t install a doggie door or tie him in the yard for a little while (too cold). There is only one front door so we can’t distinguish between a play door and a potty door and he is always on a leash.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am considering purchasing a remote training collar for my dog. Mostly to teach her to come on command, even when she’s distracted. If you have had experience with either of these two particular brands, please leave me some feed back Thanks!

I live in a cold climate (snowy, windy) and our dog is only 4 months. I feel like I would need to start training him soon, but I have no idea how. In addition, not being able to go outside very often poses an obstacle.

I just got a German Shepherd and i really want to know some housebreaking tips

That was my dog before we took her in, noone really cared for her and i thought she would be somewhat agressive, and bite. but she turned out to the the complete opposite. shes a beagle so her temperament is good…but why is she so nice? im not complaining just wondering ?

I am thinking about holding training for kids and their family dogs, teaching the children how to train and work with their dog. We would cover things like basic commands such as sit, and fun tricks and games too. Is this something you would enroll you child in?

If so, how long should each class be?
How many weeks should the classes run?
How much should the classes cost?
What would be your concerns?
Any ideas or suggestions?
